FatCat Show on Carhartt Radio
At the end of 2011 FatCat's Alex Knight and James Vella were asked to mix a show for Carhartt Radio. They took the challenge head on and created a show based on a whole palette of new sounds taken from the FatCat vaults, beat-matching and re-splicing the source materials into new variations and mixes. From the electrified atmosphere of FatCat veteran artists Matmos and Gescom to the experimental compositions of the the new and upcoming artists U.S. Girls and Ambassadeurs, via underheard cuts from the back catalogue and some real fan favourites, this mix is a window into the label's history through a newly-imagined lens.
